  • WordPress

    Backup your site completely before proceeding.

    1. Download Sur.ly for WordPress to your desktop (it comes in zip archive).
    2. Go to the main navigation menu: 'Plugins' -> 'Add New'.
    3. Click 'Upload' on the screen.
    4. Use 'Choose File' to choose Sur.ly zip archive and then click 'Install Now'.

    5. Make sure you see the message 'Plugin installed successfully'.
    6. Click 'Activate Plugin' to activate Sur.ly plugin.

    7. Go to the main navigation menu: 'Settings' -> 'Sur.ly' to access the plugin settings.

    8. Set the plugin according to your preference (manage trusted domains\users, etc).

    9. 'Toolbar' section allows you to access the visual settings of Sur.ly toolbar.
    10. 'Behaviour' section allows to configurate Sur.ly plugin for your CMS and select trusted sers.
    11. 'Trusted links' section allows adding domains for which links won’t be replaced.
  • Drupal 6
    1. Download Sur.ly for Drupal 6 to your desktop (it comes in zip archive).
    2. Extract Sur.ly plugin folder from zip archive to your desktop.
    3. Upload Sur.ly plugin folder via your FTP tool to the directory: sites/all/modules.
    4. Choose 'Modules' on the administrative toolbar and open 'Others' section.
    5. Find 'Sur.ly plugin' in Name column and check 'Enabled' to activate it.

    6. Click 'Save Configuration' (Make sure you see the message 'The configuration options have been saved.' atop the page).
    7. Go to the main navigation menu: 'Administer' -> 'Site configuration' -> 'Sur.ly' to access Sur.ly settings.

    8. 'Toolbar' section allows you to access the visual settings of Sur.ly toolbar.
    9. 'Behaviour' section allows to configurate Sur.ly plugin for your CMS and select trusted sers.

    1. Download and install the newest version of AutoMOD plugin.
    2. When the installation is done, remove the folder 'install' in the root folder of your website.
    3. Download Sur.ly plugin for phpBB.
    4. Open Admin dashboard and go to 'AUTOMOD' tab.
    5. In 'Upload MOD' dialog select Sur.ly pluging and click 'Upload'.

    6. Go to 'AUTOMOD' tab and click 'Install' next to Sur.ly.

    7. Click 'Install' one more time in pop-up window.
    8. To finish the plugin installation follow the link 'Click here to continue to that step'.

    9. In 'action' field check 'Install' and click 'Submit'. Confirm your choice with 'Yes' in the next window.
    10. Go to tab 'POSTING' -> 'SUR.LY' for the plugin settings.

    11. 'Toolbar' section allows you to access the visual settings of Sur.ly toolbar.
    12. 'Behaviour' section allows to configurate Sur.ly plugin for your CMS.

    1. Download Sur.ly for phpBB to your desktop (it comes in zip archive).
    2. Extract Sur.ly plugin folder from zip archive to your desktop.
    3. Upload Sur.ly plugin folder via your FTP tool to the directory: 'ext'
    4. Open Admin dashboard and go to 'CUSTOMISE' tab and click 'Enable' next to Sur.ly.

    5. Go to tab 'EXTENSIONS' -> 'SUR.LY' for the plugin settings.

    6. 'Toolbar' section allows you to access the visual settings of Sur.ly toolbar.

    2. Extract Sur.ly plugin folder from zip archive to your desktop.
    3. Upload Sur.ly plugin folder to 'Extensions' directory of your website, via your FTP tool.
    4. Go to 'Extensions' -> 'Manage extensions'.
    5. Click 'Install Extension'.

    6. Click 'Install Extension' one more time to confirm installation.

    7. Go to 'Sur.ly' section for the plugin settings.

    1. Download Sur.ly for vBulletin to your desktop (it comes in zip archive).
    2. Extract Sur.ly plugin folder from zip archive to your desktop.
    3. Upload Sur.ly plugin folder via your FTP tool to the root directory of your website.
    4. Go to 'Plugins & Products' > 'Manage Products'.
    5. Click 'Add/Import Product'.

    6. In 'Import Product' dialog, enter the path to XML file: './includes/xml/product-surly.xml' and click 'Import'.

    7. Go to Sur.ly section for the plugin settings.

    8. 'Toolbar' section allows you to access the visual settings of Sur.ly toolbar.

    4. Go to the tab 'Applications & Modules' > 'Manage Applications & Modules'
    5. Click 'Install' next to Sur.ly plugin.

    6. Click 'Next' to start the process.
    7. Go to the tab 'Other Apps' -> 'Sur.ly' for the plugin settings.

    2. Go to the main navigation menu: 'System' -> 'Applications'.
    3. Click 'Install' on the screen.
    4. Use 'Choose File' to choose Sur.ly tar archive and then click 'Install'.
    5. Go to the main navigation menu: 'Community' -> 'Surly' to access the plugin settings.

    1. Download Sur.ly for SMF to your desktop.
    2. In Admin dashboard go to 'Main' -> 'Package Manager' -> 'Download Packages'.
    3. In 'Upload a Package' dialog, select Sur.ly plugin and click 'Upload'.

    4. Make sure you see the message: 'The package has been uploaded successfully'.

    5. Click 'Install Mod'.
    6. Click 'Install Now' to confirm the process.

    7. Go to Sur.ly section to access its settings.
